This week we have a few gigs that should be good fun.
Friday night we are at Acqua e Vino, over in the west. Starts at 10pm.
Sat arvo we are doing a set at Mordialloc by the Bay, fine food, wine and music fest.
There is a great line up of bands, so it will be a great day and night for all. Our set is at 2pm.

New Venue This Friday Night - 23-February-2010

This Friday night we are playing at an amazing new venue on Chapel St, South Yarra.
Red Bennies is truly unique live music and performing arts venue designed to showcase music with roots in soul, funk, disco and jazz alongside a multitude of performing arts including cabaret, circus and burlesque.

Feb Frenzy - 16-February-2010
Hi All,
This weekend we have a handful of gigs on. Guaranteed to be a jazz frenzy.
Friday Night: Acqua e Vino 10pm. Yarraville.
Saturday Arvo: Claypots 3pm. St Kilda.
Saturday Evening: Victorian Jazz Club 7pm Clayton.
Saturday Night: Transit Lounge 10:30pm. City.
Anyone that comes dressed as Elvis receives a free straight jacket.

We have not played any public gigs for the last couple of weeks, sorry about that, though we are back this weekend with a bevy of fun times.

Hi Everybody,
Happy New Year to you all, we hope you had a smashing night and have settled into 2010 nicely.
We had a great night up at Transit lounge on NYE. If you weren't there you missed a pearler of an evening.
This weekend we have a few gigs on.
Sat arvo we will be at Claypots. 3pm.
Sat Night we will be back at Transit Lounge. 10:30pm.
Sunday we are doing a great gig at Fitzroy Gardens as a part of Summer Fun in the City.
It starts at 6:30 and we will be joined be swing dance gurus, Swing Dance Australia. This is always a great gig in a wonderful environment for the whole family.

This place has great food and is our favourite place to hang out on a Sunday. It has music every Sunday and has hosted most of Melbourne's best.

Back at the Traps - 09-April-2009
Hi Everybody,
This week we are back at the old traps. Saturday arvo we are at Claypots St Kilda, 4pm.
Saturday Night we are back at the best gig in town, Transit lounge, 10pm.
Finally on Sunday we are playing at Hickinbotham Vineyard for a family fun day. It is a fundraiser for the local coast guard. Starts at 11am, gig is at 1pm. Good food, wine and tunes.
We have not been doing too many public performances lately so come along to these gigs as we are going to smash it up.

Swingin in the New Year - 22-December-2008

Fine wine and tunes - 27-October-2008
Hi Guys and Gals,
We have some great gigs coming up especially for those of you who like great food, wine and jazz.
This Coming Friday night, 31/10, we will be playing at the Black Tie Dinner as part of the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz. Show starts at 7pm. Tickets are selling fast so book now. PH:1800 801 065.

Crankin it up. - 09-October-2008
Sorry about that last email guys and dolls, our email gear just went a little haywire.
This week we start our little acoustic gig at claypots, St Kilda. Please don't tell anyone as the room is small and we only want our friends here. Nice wine and food here to.
Also our favorite gal in the world is back in town, The Famous Spiegeltent. We will be caressing her stage once again on Friday nights until mid December so don you suits, hats and couture.

Unfortunate news - 01-October-2008
Hi All.
Well after embarking upon a lovely new Sunday residency at the Clarendon on Sunday, It was decided by the Alcohol sponsors to discontinue the gig.
For what we reason we do not know as the crowd were very warm and the atmosphere seemed great. Nevertheless as quickly as it came... it went.
Thank you to all who came down to support the Sth Melbourne Sunday Session and we hope to be in touch soon regarding the next easy going Sunday Arvo Gig.
Having said that..... let me say this !!!
Saturdays at Claypots 4pm-6pm starting 18th Oct. This is a cooking little gig as some of you experienced a coupla weeks back. Pop in for a drink and soak up some tunes. Love to see you all there.
We won't be playing this week at our beloved Saturday night residency at the Transit Lounge as we are otherwise engaged. Just a note to let any plans not go to waste.

Spring has swung !! - 17-September-2008
Hey All !!
Cheery Spring feelings to you all !!
Brief note to let you all know that as well as the iminent arrival of the spiegeltent ( where we will be playing from mid Oct til Chrissy ), we will be starting a great new residency at 'The Clarendon'. This is a recently renovated beautiful pub that boasts great food, wine and entertainment.
We will start on Sunday the 28th of September at 3.00 pm, so for all of you that are not the night owl types, this is a great oppurtunity to see us a) while its light and b) before we make drunken fools of ourselves............again !!
Once more folks. The food is awesome here !!
Would love to have you come down and support live music and friendly local pubs.
I'm excited !!
We also continue our wonderful Saturday night residency at the Transit Lounge in fed square which just seems to get better and better. ( 10.30 pm - )

Back in town !!! - 24-September-2007
Hey there !
The Shuff's are back in town and warming into springtime in Melbourne.
Our journey to Japan and the U.K proved to be a success as well as a heap of fun for all concerned.
We now await the arrival of the Famous spiegeltent ( Make no mistakes guys, the ORIGIANAL and the best of all spiegel tents ! ) for our season of Friday nights. This kicks off mid October so keep your ears out for that one.

We'll be off then.........again !! - 02-July-2007
Well the last nine months has been a turmoltuis time for the shuffle club, with the absence of our piano player Dannie Bourne due to other career duties for three months, followed by the unfortunate breaking of our drummer Rod Gilbert's leg. ( Don't ask !! ) With all these factors behind us we are looking forward to once again moving forward as the founding member four.
We our now one month returned from our Mediterranean tour where we experienced the delights of Turkey, Greece, Italy, Spain, Croatia and France. Tough life ! So now we have settled back into Melbourne life which can only mean one thing. It's time to get outta here again !!
Late this month we will be heading to Japan to perform at the Sapporo/Kutchan jazz festival, where we will play two gigs and participate in a workshop for students. This festival is incorporated into our now habitual trip to the Edinburgh fringe festival. Here we will be once again performing 21 shows at the Famous Spiegeltent.
All in all it has been an exciting time for the group and we are looking forward to playing the hand full of club gigs that we have in Marvellous Melbourne before we depart. Plese check the gig list for info on the coming shows. Love to see you before we go guys.

Gearing up. - 17-July-2006
July is well and truly upon us and the countdown to our second journey to Edinburgh is on. It's been a bit of a scramble with alot of gigs and things happening but we are on track !! There are plenty of gigs happening at the moment so if you feel like seeing us check out the gig list and........ come on down !!
The band has decided to have a wee break after the festival and probably wo'nt be playing in town from 7/8 til around mid september but you know..... check your local guides.

March 2006 - 28-March-2006
March has been a very enjoyable month for the shuff's, our Saturday nights at Transit lounge have been a rockin' and our occasional Friday nights at The Kitten club have been swingin' as well. We would especially like to thank all our new found friends in Adelaide and a huge thanks to dear friends at the Famous Spiegel Tent where we had a great week, selling out the tent every night. Thank you for your undying support.
Keep an eye on the website for the up and coming Melbourne gigs over the next month there are some rippers on the way like the grand prix gigs at Gunn Island Hotel and Sunday 16th at The Belgium Beer Cafe.

We are excited to announce the launch of our permanent Saturday night residency at Transit Lounge @ Federation Square. The gig stars at 10:30 every Saturday night and finishes late dam late. This is a beautiful room and we are excited about the house grand piano, it is a nice setting and we love it there, so come on down.
When arriving please avoid the long cue out the front this is for the down stars bar, Transit is on level 2 so walk directly to the door staff and Say you're here for The Shuffle Club.
There is a $5 dollar cover charge and it is table drink service.

Happy New Year thanks to all that supported us in 2005 it was a fun year for the band.
We met a heap of new friends here in Oz and abroad and don't worry we will be returning to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2006.
Last year we saw the demise of our 3 year Sunday residency at The Palace. We have decided to move on, thanks to all you palace cats who enjoyed the gigs and laughs there.
We are on the look out for a new Sunday Spot so we will keep you updated.
This year kicks off with a series of gigs at the new Water front city Plaza we are there every Thursday at 6pm for the month.
We are also at the Kitten Club and Transit lounge in the city for a number of performances as well, check out our gig listings.
